The women at RVA are certainly a driving force behind the company’s success. Our HR Officer Leanne Kelly recently spoke with some of the female leaders and colleagues at RVA to find out who or what inspires them.
“Last week, our new Marketing Executive, Rex, who happens to be American, mentioned Women’s Equality Day to me. It’s typically celebrated in the US, but it got me thinking— what drives the women at RVA to achieve success and who inspires them?’’

Speaking about her time at RVA, Surveyor Operation & Audit Manager Kirsty Morgan said:
‘After 15 years at RVA, it’s been a rewarding journey connecting with all the incredible female leaders here. My biggest achievement? Becoming a manager and having the chance to help others along the way! One woman who truly inspires me is Frankii—she’s an inspiration, always going the extra mile for her colleagues. I’m proud of all the women at RVA, but just a heads-up, Steve (RVA’s CEO) … I’m eyeing your job!’
Niamh Finerty who recently joined RVA as Sales & Training Assistant Manager commented that:
‘My mum has always been my greatest inspiration, embodying hard work and perseverance in everything she does. Watching her balance challenges with unwavering determination has taught me the importance of dedication. I carry that same drive with me every day at RVA, striving to make her proud.’
RVA’s newest member Evie Walker said of her new colleagues:
‘Joining a new team was overwhelming, but RVA made me feel right at home. Knowing that the senior women in the business are looking out for me reassures me that I can reach that level one day too. What drives me is the mix of learning new things and gaining experience. Frankii is someone I really look up to—I hope to follow in her footsteps. And a shout-out to Kirsty, who not only checks in on me but still manages to juggle her own workload like a pro!’

Frankii O’Shaughnessy Senior Audit Operations Executive was excited to talk about her time at RVA:
‘My journey at RVA has been quite the ride, having worked in three different departments. One of my proudest achievements is growing the Audit team with Kirsty— I couldn’t have done it without her! I’m really grateful to RVA for giving me the chance to prove what I can do. What drives me is my resilience—once I’m given a task, I’m not one to give up. As for inspiration, Kirsty wins! She supports the audit team with compassion every day and has been instrumental in helping me reach my full potential.’
Leah Williams RVA’s Surveyor had a few comments on both work and personal life:
‘Since joining RVA I’ve truly felt supported, both personally and professionally, and it’s clear that growth is within reach. Massive credit to Leanne, who’s always got the perfect balance of support and resilience—she’s been a real inspiration. And on a personal note, my best friend Kia is a huge inspiration too; she’s been through so much but still manages to tackle everything with a smile. My goal? To lead my own sales team one day, offering the same support and mentorship I’ve received. Dan, you better watch out!’
Rebecca Talbot Credit Control Team Leader had this to say about being supported at RVA:
‘RVA has had my back, even when life threw some curveballs, and that support has meant the world to me. Becoming a team leader was a huge milestone, and I’m proud of that achievement. If I had to pick someone who inspires me at work, it’s Sam—we’ve got each other’s backs no matter what. What keeps me going is my love for learning, whether it’s digging into legal cases, picking up new skills, or just general knowledge. But I’ve got to say, my biggest inspiration is my mum—she was always so work-focused, that’s where I get it from.’
Cara Wilkinson On-Boarding & Gateway Manager reflected as one of RVA’s most tenured members:
‘Coming from a government background, transitioning from contracts processor to managing my own team at RVA has been quite the journey. Sixteen years later, that’s still my proudest achievement. Funnily enough, I never aimed to be a manager, but Ant and Laura saw something in me and pushed me to step up. RVA has always felt like family, supporting me even when I stumbled. Leanne’s been a rock, helping me navigate all the new challenges that becoming a manager has brought. And a special shout out to Kirsty as we’re both the oldest members of staff and we’ve both gone through it all and seen so much, we know we can both help each other. I think we’re a strong team!’
“Throughout these conversations it’s become clear that the women within our business play a key role in how we evolve and develop. I also found out that all but one of our women in leadership positions have been promoted from within and have gone through out internal management training programmes.”

These insights underscore the significant role the female leaders play in shaping RVA Surveyors. It’s encouraging to see that many have advanced through internal programs, reflecting RVA’s commitment to supporting growth and development within the company. We’re proud of the progress and remain focused on creating opportunities for all team members.
